Location: An office and site based role | SB Homes, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Role

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and detail-orientated Architectural Technician / Design Coordinator to support our technical and design team. You’ll be responsible for preparing and managing drawings, working with customers to incorporate bespoke elements, and supporting the delivery of exceptional homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Draw up initial plot layouts, incorporating MNE elements (which will be designed by external contractors).
• Manage customer plot changes, updating drawings to reflect chosen options.
• Create visuals and detailed drawings for bespoke extras, working with suppliers and helping customers to visualise changes.
• Attend customer meetings to discuss design changes and offer guidance.
• Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and office staff to ensure seamless project delivery.

What We’re Looking For

• A background in architecture, technical drawing, or building design.
• Experience in housebuilding or the residential development industry preferred.
• Confidence using drawing software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
• A personable and professional approach – confident working directly with customers.
• A keen eye for design and detail – with the ability to bring ideas to life.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• A team player who is eager to learn and develop professionally.
