Last year, we announced that we had purchased a piece of land in Marsden, and in December, we asked our Facebook friends and the local community to help us name the project.
The 108-year old property was a former fire station which had been empty since 2005.
We racked our brains for our favourite options, and narrowed it down to a shortlist of four:
1. Station Place
2. Fire House
3. Station House
4. Station Works
Almost 240 of you cast your vote, and the name has been decided — our Marsden fire station project is to be named 'Station House'!
Thank you to all those who took part. Everyone who commented, liked our page and shared the post was entered into a random generator and the winner was chosen. The lucky individual won a hamper put together by two local businesses — greengrocer and wholefood store Goodness Me and flower shop Lily Blossom.
If you’re interested in future updates on our Station House development, which is set to be rental apartments for the over 50s, subscribe to our email newsletter (find the subscribe option at the bottom right of our home page).
